Current development direction
VARKELD is being designed as a local-first Android game without a required VARKELD account. Current development builds store gameplay progress locally on the device and have been tested without the Android INTERNET permission.
Future release features
Future commercial builds are planned to use Google Play for purchases and restoration of owned campaign content. Google Play may process purchase and account information under Google's own terms and privacy policies. VARKELD is not currently planned to require a separate Nyfir Studios account for normal gameplay.
Local saves
Game progress, settings and future character customization are intended to be stored locally. Export/import or other recovery options may be added. Removing the app or device data may remove local progress unless it has been backed up or transferred.
What this page does not promise yet
VARKELD is still in development. Features, SDKs, permissions and release architecture may change before launch. This policy will be reviewed against the actual shipping build before publication on Google Play, and the release version will state the data practices that are actually implemented.
