FigureDesk CODE59: original-currency UX and two physical backup cycles pass
CODE59 closes concrete verification gaps while keeping the final physical-certification boundary explicit.
The foreign-amount panel keeps the original currency as the primary input and shows booked SEK separately. Physical evidence includes a 10.44 USD outside-EU service purchase booked as 104.18 SEK with immutable ECB provenance, and a 10.44 USD direct service sale booked as 104.40 SEK with a documented manual rate. Debug and release JVM suites are now 152/152 each; Samsung instrumentation remains green at 175 tests.
Two destructive backup cycles also passed: backup through Android CreateDocument, clear Owner Test data, restore through FigureDesk, restart, and compare database state. Certification remains BLOCKED because the prescribed A–T physical matrix is incomplete, including PDF/open/save/share, exhaustive save-feedback and broad product-smoke coverage.
FigureDesk CODE57: working FX retrieval, broader PDF save verification, gate still open
CODE57 turns two CODE56 gaps into concrete, testable behavior without treating partial closure as a release.
The build keeps 148/148 JVM debug and 148/148 release tests green, passes lint and release/R8/AAB builds, and again records 175/175 on the unfiltered Samsung SM-S938B instrumentation suite. For two narrow outside-EU B2B service direct-payment rows, FigureDesk can now fetch ECB reference-rate data using only currency and date, cache the result, show the actual source date and freeze automatic or manual provenance with the posting. SEK paths remain offline.
Accounting, VAT, standard, K1, NE and credit-report PDFs now use Android CreateDocument with user-selected destination/filename and byte verification before success. The release gate nevertheless remains FAIL: foreign invoice settlement/FX-difference/credit-refund is incomplete, invoice/quote and calculator PDF paths are not standardized, physical clean-new/save-feedback and backup cycles are unfinished, and the complete A–T physical matrix has not been completed. The automatic FX source is technically live-proved but not release-certified for authority suitability.
Nyfir Studios Hub: building a resumable local AI workflow
The local AI work explores how a small studio can run longer software tasks locally while preserving checkpoints, test results and a recoverable project state.
The engineering focus is reliability: command execution, persistent state, resumable work and regression tests. The first external project test is planned around DroidBake rather than treating the bookkeeping product as an experimental target.
DroidBake: from generation to a real Android artifact
Generating source is only one part of making an Android app. DroidBake explores the wider path from an idea to source, build output, testing and packaging.
Development notes distinguish source code, APK and AAB outputs and treat compilation and device testing as separate checks. The aim is a workflow that makes failures visible instead of hiding them behind a successful generation step.
VARKELD: designing interaction for the phone first
VARKELD is an exploration of a Nordic-inspired interactive world where controls and presentation need to work on a phone rather than merely imitate a desktop layout.
Touch controls, camera behavior and readable action feedback are treated as design problems in their own right. The project remains exploratory, and these notes describe design work rather than a release promise.
